An Overview

National Skills Registry (NSR) is set up and managed by NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML) on behalf of NASSCOM. NSR is a web-based system hosting a fact sheet of information about existing and prospective employees of Indian IT, ITES, BPO and Banking Industry. This creates a trusted and permanent fact sheet of information about each individual employee along with background check reports. This is a global security best practice for the industry and assures identity, security and credibility to honest professionals.

ISSL has been registered as a Point of Service (POS) with NDML to provide services currently at seven locations


ISSL as POS

As a POS, ISSL facilitates the Information Technology Professionals (ITP) to submit their biometrics (fingerprints, photograph and signature) and to collect registration form, fee, etc so that NSR registration process for the ITP can be completed. ISSL also provides post- registration services like renewal, facilitating password reset, processing duplicate card request etc. ISSL provides a manned interface for servicing ITPs

ITP can register themselves online using web-interface of NSR. Registration is completed by submitting bio-metrics to a nearest office of ISSL POS appointed by NSR.
